About Jacqueline Gautier
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor in the province of British Columbia with a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology and a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco, CA. I hold Certificates in Integrated Health & Healing (Expressive Arts and Guided Imagery) and Hospice Care from the California Pacific Medical Centre. I also have a Bachelor of Arts Degree from CIIS and Business Administration Degree from the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon.
My life journey has been eclectic. Early in my career I worked for 10 years as a senior administrator in the fertilizer industry in Saskatchewan. This work afforded me the opportunity to travel extensively, managing financial operations in 13 developing countries. In 1990 I was the recipient of CIDA’s Professional Development Scholarship ($25,000), where I created a documentary film on Farm Women in Indonesia.
In response to my growing interest in the 1990’s to a more integrated approach to life regarding health and healing, psychology, the creative arts and spiritual dimensions, I created my own consulting company Jacqueline Gautier and Associates. Within the framework of this company I developed a series of workshops, lectures, art products and published articles on a broad spectrum of subjects around health for the body, mind and spirit. These programs were well received by many communities and were delivered across Canada and as far south as Mexico.
In the 2000’s professional highlights have been publishing a book Treasure: Creative Adventures in Self-Discovery; being nominated as a YWCA Woman of Distinction in Saskatoon, and being an invited presenter at several international conferences in Canada, the United States and Mexico. I was on faculty at the University of Saskatchewan’s Extension Program as well as in the College of Commerce, Management Program. Over the years I have published over 30 articles, chapters in books and been interviewed on both radio and television.
I currently work in my own private practice, Jacqueline Gautier Counselling, providing counselling for individuals, couples, families and groups. I also provide supervision for counsellors who desire case consultation or practicum supervision for the completion of their Master’s degree. I act as a consultant for several mental health organizations and present workshops and seminars on a variety of subjects to community and mental health organizations.
